Hey Friend!
Wow! Where have the months gone? It feels like I just started planning Q1, and here I am, diving into Q2.
Does it ever feel like your days are moving like a bullet train, and you’re trying your best to jump on and off at the right time?
A few ways I’ve been able to manage my business, spend time with my family, and carve out some ‘me time’ has been to accept that I can’t do it all.
I used to feel guilty about that and then realised that guilt wasn’t making it any easier. Now, I focus on my top priorities - the things that generate income and those tasks that only I can do.
And for all the things I can’t do by myself, there’s software to help—like ChatGPT!
The debate continues about the use of AI tools in business. Is it ethical? Can you claim that it’s your work? Does it make you a lazy content creator?
In one of my recent blog posts, I look at how small businesses can benefit from ChatGPT (perhaps the most popular copywriting tool) without relying on it to do all the heavy lifting.
But if you can outsource aspects of your business, go for it! My friend and founder of The Successful VA, Desi-Ann Gordon, spoke to 14 entrepreneurs and experienced virtual assistants who shared how outsourcing tasks can help you grow your business.
More of a tech person? Asana is great for managing day-to-day projects and mapping your content.
As a bonus, you can easily collaborate if you have a team or outsource content creation. I’ve used Asana with clients, and working together has been a breeze!
If you find that more time isn’t the issue but aren’t sure how to prioritise your tasks, create a system that works for you.
👉🏼 For the next week, note all your business-related tasks, how long they take, and their impact on your business. Those directly impacting your success are your highest priority, and those that don’t go further down the list.
👉🏼 Identify time blocks in your day when you are at peak productivity and tackle your high-priority, time-consuming tasks.
This is just one of many ways to manage your time better.
Trust me—managing a business when you wear numerous hats is challenging. This is why I enjoy supporting entrepreneurs like you through the weekly updates I share and the services I offer.
Reply and let me know which of these tips you found most helpful or if there’s another area I can help you with.
